The band Jesus Cures The Blind Man formed in Rome in July 2009, with Francesco Lionetti (bass) and Giovanni Toscano (guitars). The two musicians started their group, touching all kinds of music genres from the blues to prog and then to the more aggressive rock sounds. The first couple of months of practice gave birth to an EP with five tracks that expressed Giovanni and Francesco's ideas. In the beginning they did not have any keyboards sounds, they were then enriched with the experience of Giorgio Amendolara (keyboards), whom they met during the recordings in his studio, which at that point was just starting out. After this meeting the three musicians decided to work together. The EP was presented in the major roman clubs, even if the band did not have a definitive formation. The Jesus Cures The Blind Man, still searching for their ideal line up, find their final components in march 2011 with Stefano Tirabasso as a singer and Riccardo Spilli on the drums ( ex Balletto di Bronzo). With their complete formation the band started to work on a complete album, which, even more than the first EP, manages to seamlessly mix even more genres adding dance rhythms and others that are pure pop rock until reaching dark and psychadelic sounds. After a year of rehearsing and live shows the band returned to the studio to record " What would you be", a album with nine tracks autoproduced and recorded at Giorgio Amendolara's CASA MUSICA recording studio. From June 2014 the new guitarist is Andrea Ravoni.
I Jesus Cures the Blind Man nascono a Roma nel luglio del 2009 da un'idea di Francesco Lionetti (basso) e Giovanni Toscano (chitarra). I due musicisti iniziano così la loro collaborazione, accostando tra loro molteplici tendenze musicali che spaziano dal blues al prog, fino alle sonorità rock più aggressive. Il lavoro dei primi mesi di prove dà così vita ad un EP di 5 brani che raccoglie mirabilmente le idee di Giovanni e Francesco. Inizialmente sprovviste delle parti di tastiere, le cinque tracce vengono arricchite dall'esperienza di Giorgio Amendolara (tastiere), incontrato proprio durante le registrazioni nel suo studio, che in quegli anni muoveva i primi passi. Proprio a seguito di questo incontro i tre musicisti decidono di passare da una collaborazione ad una partecipazione in pianta stabile del tastierista all'interno del gruppo. L'EP, seppur con una formazione ancora non definitiva, viene presentato nei principali club romani. I Jesus Cures the Blind Man sempre alla ricerca della loro line up ideale, vedono il suo completamento nel marzo 2011 con l’arrivo di Stefano Tirabasso alla voce e Riccardo Spilli alla batteria (ex Balletto di Bronzo). A formazione ormai definita, la band inizia a lavorare per l'uscita di un disco completo, che ancora più del primo EP, riesce, senza forzature, a riunire generi musicali ancora più ampi, inserendo ritmi dance ed altri puramente pop rock, fino ad arrivare al dark e alla psichedelia. Dopo un anno tra sala prove ed esibizioni live i Jesus Cures the Blind Man tornano in studio per registrare “What would you be”, disco di 9 tracce, autoprodotto e inciso presso il CASA MUSICA Recording studio di Giorgio Amendolara. Durante l'estate 2014 Giovanni Toscano lascia la band: il nuovo chitarrista è Andrea Ravoni.
